Crew SC Academy Talent Identification Process
The Columbus Crew SC Academy complies with U.S. Soccer Developmental Academy guidelines as it relates to identifying and evaluating players. The Columbus Crew SC Academy is not designed like traditional club soccer and does not hold open tryouts in order to select players.
These talent identification sessions (TID) are by invitation only, as our technical and scouting staff have been evaluating players on an ongoing basis throughout training, games, and other soccer events.
The purpose of the TID sessions are to evaluate top talents that have the potential to represent the Columbus Crew SC Academy at the U12, U13, and U14 levels. The technical staff will use a criteria of evaluation that represents the playing style and philosophies of Crew SC First Team.
Participating players will be recommended to the Crew SC Academy Technical Staff by the player’s directors of coaching, executive directors, or similar leadership of the player’s soccer club.
Players, from outside the state of Ohio, that are interested in the Columbus Crew SC Academy should send the following information: player's name, date of birth and a detailed playing history and references, to Dennis Sanchez.
